prices
why entry is priced on the server
your device never tells us what a stock costs. here is why.

the short version
if a venue accepts a price from the client, anyone can open at a price the market never printed.
fresh prints only
when you sign, the server fetches a fresh mark and uses that as your entry. the only thing your device sends is a slippage bound.
“never accept a price from the client.”
if the fresh price moved more than 0.5 percent past your quote, the order is rejected and you requote.
how marks work
prices in SnapPerps:
are polled server-side and cached
are never fetched from your browser
are refreshed on every mark tick
freeze at the last close outside the session
a mark older than a minute cannot be traded against.
what the ticket shows
the quote on the ticket refreshes every few seconds so the terms you see stay close to the terms you get.
in short
server-side marks, a slippage bound from you, and no stale prices.
