resolution
the four answers a photo can get
direct, parent, adjacent and none, and the rules that keep the resolver honest.

the short version
every scan ends in exactly one of four tiers. the tier decides what you see next.
the ladder
direct means a listed brand is clearly in frame and you go straight to the ticket. parent means the brand belongs to a listed owner, so the ownership line shows first. adjacent means no brand, but the category maps to real companies. none means nothing listed fits.
“a long list is a sign of guessing.”
that is why adjacent answers stop at four.
the rules
the resolver is held to these:
every ticker is validated against the market config
company names come from config, not the model
low confidence steps down one tier
an object never gets a price of its own
in our eval of 11 real product photos, all 11 landed on the right tier and ticker.
when it says none
a none answer is not a failure. it is logged, and enough of them for the same object is how a new market gets listed.
in short
four tiers, one reason per match, and no invented tickers or prices.
